In October 2025 Swim Instructor Carolyn F. earned an Instructor Trainer certification for Water Safety with the Red Cross and has recently finished co-teaching her first Basic Swim Instructor course to coworkers at Irving ISD!
Also, Tortugas Swim School has recently been notified that we are within a week of official approval by the State of Texas for two Trademarks for the "Tortugas Swim School" name and our swimming turtle logo. We applied for the Trademarks in May 2024 and the process required some amendment and re-submission, but mostly a lot.. and I mean a lot of waiting before final approval!
It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Club Royal Pool as our home for Swim Lessons for Summers. We are grateful to them for allowing us to bring our program to their pool for Summers 2024 & 2025. We were recently informed that Club Royal Pool's board has decided to keep their summer schedule more open for the community pool members needs. Tortugas Swim School is in search of another pool to teach swim lessons. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to contact us using the contact form below!

05/18/2025 10:18am: In honor of The World's Largest Swimming Lesson (TM), Tortugas Swim School will host a day of free lessons on June 26, 2025 at Club Royal Pool on Townsend Dr. in Dallas. Anyone can sign up for a free lesson by using the Free Lesson Day Enrollment link at tortugasswim.com. The 35 minute lesson will be limited to six students per time slot & only one lesson per person. We hope you will join us!
